“Digital trust pertains to the confidence individuals, businesses, and societies place in the secure and reliable exchange of information and transactions within the digital realm.”
– Pathway 2035 Report.
We are excited to share that Ayra Association has been recognized in the Swiss Financial Innovation Desk’s (FIND) landmark “Pathway 2035 for Financial Innovation” report, published in January 2025. Ayra Executive Director, Darrell O’Donnell, contributed to this comprehensive study, in particular in the crucial Digital Trust chapter, reinforcing Ayra’s position at the forefront of digital trust innovation.
The report’s findings strongly align with Ayra’s three-pillar approach to digital trust ecosystems:
- Business: The report validates our focus on practical, market-driven implementation of digital trust solutions.
- Governance: Our emphasis on clear governance frameworks is reflected in the report’s recommendations for sustainable digital ecosystems.
- Technical: The technical foundations outlined in the fit well withAyra’s work on interoperable trust infrastructure.
This alignment between FIND’s vision and Ayra’s mission is no coincidence. Our members have pioneered many approaches highlighted in the report, particularly in establishing governance frameworks that enable trusted information sharing across borders and industries.
“The Pathway 2035 report validates what Ayra and our members have been saying – that effective business and governance frameworks are essential for scaling digital trust across ecosystems,” says Darrell O’Donnell, Executive Director of Ayra. “We’re seeing the convergence of business needs, governance models, and technical standards that we’ve long advocated for, and this report shows how critical this approach will be for the future of financial innovation. This convergence of business, governance, and tech was a major theme throughout Davos this year.“
As Switzerland positions itself as a global leader in digital trust, Ayra’s inclusion in this report underscores our collective role in shaping the future of trusted digital interactions. Our community’s practical experience in implementing governance frameworks and establishing trusted channels for information sharing is the basis for our contributions to this forward-looking study.
For our members, this report validates our shared direction and the importance of our work in building practical, scalable digital trust solutions. It reinforces that our approach – balancing business needs, governance requirements, and technical standards – is well aligned with the future of financial innovation.
We encourage members to review the Digital Trust chapter, where you’ll find many of our shared principles reflected in the vision for 2035. Your continued engagement and practical implementation work are helping shape this future, making trusted digital interactions a reality across the global financial ecosystem.
