Ayra Community,
TL;DR:
Ayra Cards – moving from strategy to practice, with member-led proofs of concept and a clear path to pilot projects taking shape, look out for a demo.
Governance – Ayra’s first Annual General Meeting is this month.
Trust Registry Query Protocol – TRQP v2.0 is heading into public review in a week or two, and the Conformance Test Suite is being refreshed around Ayra Cards.
Hello everyone!
We’re putting the Ayra Cards story to work. You’ll see in the Business section how members are coming together around concrete proofs of concept and pilots, using Ayra Cards to solve familiar, real-world problems. On the Governance side, we’re preparing for Ayra’s first AGM, where members will vote on key resolutions that set our structure and leadership for the next phase.
On the technical front, TRQP v2.0 will be entering public review shortly, and the Conformance Test Suite is being re-anchored to support that and to focus on Ayra Card flows so that implementations can be tested against a shared backbone. Our office hours are where these threads come together, with members exploring payloads, registry-of-registries patterns, and how to plug their own roles into emerging PoCs and pilots.
As always, we invite you to stay close: join the office hours, subscribe to the activity and events calendar, explore the Member Portal, and reach out for one-on-one conversations. Your participation is what turns these building blocks into a living network.
Keep being awesome!

Workstream Updates
Business Workstream
As we shared in last month’s update, Ayra Cards are the kernel of our strategy going forward, providing a simple, standards-based way to enable trusted data exchange with the individual as the point of integration. We are excited to see that Members are now beginning to showcase Ayra Cards in practice. In our upcoming office hours, Strategic Member, Affinidi, and Associate Member, Northern Block, along with Darrell, will lead a live walkthrough of a proof of concept: a real-world scenario where employees and contractors arrive at a client site and need to prove who they are and what they’re allowed to do. The session will contrast today’s fragmented without Ayra Card experience with a streamlined with Ayra Card flow, and introduce how credential payloads work in practice to carry the right information across organizations.
We are formalizing Ayra Proofs of Concept and Pilot Projects as the way members can test and validate business use cases with Ayra Cards. Proofs of concept (PoCs) are short, time-boxed collaborations where members work together to validate business, governance, or technical patterns using the Ayra Card protocol and off-the-shelf components. Pilots can begin without conducting a PoC, or by building on a successful PoC by moving into real operational environments, focusing on measurable outcomes and reusable patterns that demonstrate how a neutral trust layer can unlock cross-organizational coordination. Members are already leaning into this work: Trusted.Associates, Affinidi, and Bhutan NDI are coming together to shape a proof of concept and are preparing a call for broader member participation. This will be one of the first opportunities for all members to plug into the PoC and Pilot pathway and help shape how Ayra Cards deliver business value across ecosystems.
Governance Workstream
Annual General Meeting (AGM): Ayra’s first AGM is this Thursday, November 20th at 15:00 UTC.
This 90-minute meeting is a time for all Ayra members to come together to hear the latest Ayra updates, ask questions, and vote on resolutions that will guide Ayra’s structure and leadership.
Both the agenda and registration link are on the Ayra Member Portal.
We hope to see you there!
Technical Workstream
On the protocol side, Trust Registry Query Protocol v2.0 (Public Review 02) is on track to enter public review in the first week of December. A dedicated testbed is being used to validate the specification in code and to confirm that all the “wiring” between trust registries and Ayra Card flows behaves as intended.
In parallel, the Conformance Test Suite is undergoing a major refresh, now centred on the Ayra Card protocol. The initial ramp-up work is complete (codebase reviewed, environment set up, and high-level test flows documented), and the suite is being refactored to: support multiple agents (including Credo and ACA-Py) through a common controller/adapter pattern; use the Ayra Card schema directly in its scenarios; exercise end-to-end flows, including issuing Ayra Cards and verifying them via TRQP calls in both holder and verifier paths.
Even at this early stage, the updated test suite is already surfacing interoperability issues, such as different ways of requesting and checking credentials, and giving a concrete reference for how to align implementations within the Ayra Trust Network. Please let us know if you’d like to jump in!
Office Hours
Driving Member connections underlies our community-building efforts – we have standing office hours available for your use. The calendar link is here for that: link to the Ayra activity and events calendar. All Members are invited to present and to submit topics for discussion. Members can do so by either filling out this form or requesting access to the agenda items and notes document (link) and adding an entry for the relevant date. Please feel free to reach out to christine.martin@ayra.forum with your topics as well.
Darrell and Maxwell held in-person office hours in London and Zurich in October. In these meetings, and our latest virtual office hours, members dug into how Ayra Cards can act as a practical trigger for the registry of registries. Minimal, flexible payloads were explored that can reference multiple credentials and data sources (for example, employment or contractor status, site authorizations, and training records), allowing verifiers to check several requirements in a single step. Discussions also touched upon the alignment of the Trust Registry Query Protocol (TRQP), focused on authorization and recognition, with recognition-focused services such as global trust registry initiatives. Queries on PoCs and pilots were answered.
We invite members to identify use cases and propose PoCs in roles such as infrastructure or wallet provider, issuer, or verifier. Do bring ideas, questions, or proposals for payload types and schema design for Ayra Cards; trust registry and conformance testing approaches; or any other technical component you’d like to shape. We encourage you to continue viewing Ayra’s monthly office hours as a member-led space to showcase initiatives, test ideas, and connect with peers, all within the bounds of antitrust and competition law.
